Thankyou Bollywood for making us meet these fine Foreign Actors

by Vibhuti Gupta, Monday, May 28, 2018

Theatre and art know no boundaries. Truer words have never been spoken. Through our Hindi cinema, we see our creative filmmakers give life to character and every now and then, this has given us the chance to meet some of the most amazing artists from overseas.

This also works the other way around, as Priyanka Chopra, Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone have proved their worth and love for India by being a recongnised figure worldwide. This exchange of actors is not anything new, Indian and foreign countries have many times look upon to each other for inspiration and borrowing talent.

These actors might not cling on to the industry, to make a future but one presence was enough to make a significant impression.

So we've compiled a list of 6 fine foreign actors who we would love to see again!

Paul Blackthorne - Lagaan (2001)

You can never forget the evil Captain Russell. But now he is doing great with a promising career in the TV series, Arrow, and had a substantial part in the TV show, The River.

Clive Standen - Namastey London (2007)

The Casanova Charlie, our lovely Kat's love interest. Ya, that man! Though his role was a bit too much, this Irish actor is well known for his role as Rollo in History Channel's Vikings.

Sarah Thompson Kane - Rajneeti (2010)

Aah, this beauty who was Ranbir Kapoor's love interest. She was last seen in 12 Wishes of Christmas, a TV film that released in 2011.

Alice Patten - Rang De Basanti (2006)

Fondly remembered as Gulabo, Rang De Basanti couldn't have been the same without her. Since her Bollywood debut, Alice appeared in the BBC fantasy drama series, Merlin.

Bárbara Mori - Kites (2010)

Who wouldn't fall in love with this beauty? And well, our Greek god, Hrithik Roshan had the chance to romance with her, on-screen! After Kites, Bárbara did a few films back in Uruguay but has significantly reduced her film appearances since 2011. She was last seen in 2016's Mexican film, Treintona, Soltera y Fantástica.

Linda Arsenio - Kabul Express (2006)

You might also recall her from Aloo Chaat (2009) and Dam 999 (2011). However, Linda has not been active since 2011.

Mish Boyko - Queen (2014)

The man of the honour! Mish played Oleksander in Kangana Ranaut's Queen and was widely loved and appreciated! He's also worked in various British films like Dracula Untold (2014), Risen (2016) and in a few episodes of the British TV series, Silent Witness and The Tunnel.

Bring them back! Please!
