The all-new Orkut says HELLO to India

by Unik Dhandhi, Wednesday, May 09, 2018

During 2000s, socializing was not the same. We did not have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms to stay in touch with our long-lost friends. But we did have Orkut at that time.

If you remember Orkut then you are undoubtedly, a 90s kid and your childhood was awesome. Soon after many social media platforms were launched in the world, Orkut died in 2014. And along with Orkut died an idea of connecting people.

It won't be wrong to say that Orkut is the father of all social media platform. And the father is back!

Yes, we are not kidding. Famous socializing site Orkut is back and with a bang this time. Known as 'Hello', is a comeback of Orkut. Now, you must be wondering what's new about this socializing application.

It connects you to other people like other socializing sites but with a twist. 'Hello' is an app which is specifically built for the mobile-generation, brings people together on the basis of their mutual interests.

The founder of Orkut and now Hello, Orkut Buyukkoten mentioned "If you look at social media today, it has isolated people instead of bringing them closer. It has become more about broadcasting than sharing. We need a fresh start. Hello is built around interest-based communities where users with same interests can connect, leading to true connections."

Hello has already began connecting people in Brazil on 2016 and now, they are planning to come to India. Soon, Hello app will be available for us to download from the Android Play Store or Apple App Store.
