Times when Bollywood Lyrics embarrassed us and posed threats to 'Love'

by Vibhuti Gupta, Saturday, July 21, 2018

India is all about Bollywood. We love Bollywood and everyone has taken love advice from our favorite movies as well. Come on! There’s no need to be shy about it, we’ve all done that. However, sometimes Bollywood takes it too far. I mean, for the longest time that I’ve been seeing Bollywood movies, there’s one thing for sure; Bollywood directors don’t know the first letter of ‘consent.’

If you go back to most of the 90s movies, you'll see some of the most HORRIFYING visuals of large ugly men chasing a woman just to confess their love. How stupid is that?

There’s no respect or ideology behind it. Making it funny is one thing but objectifying woman in such manner is just pathetic. As time has passed, Bollywood lyricist have improved but not by much.

So we thought of bringing back those idiotic lyrics with their English translations so that even you realize, what is wrong with Bollywood!

I Love You Bol Daal- Haseena Maan Jayegi

Hey, why are you fussing?

I swear on my mom, this is starting to piss me off.

Stop your drama BS and say yes to me.

O Jaane Jaana- Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin

O darling, stop right there. You don't know who I am.

Say anything you please, but don't tell me not to chase you.

I will chase you and make you mine.

You think you'll be spared?

Bach Ke Tu Jayegi Kahan- Jeevan Ek Sanghursh

Your lips say "no",

But your heart says "yes",

Where can you run to off to be spared now?

Razia Gundo Mein Phas Gayi- Thank You

God save her now, Razia is surrounded by goons.

We won't let her sleep, we won't let her be.

We will humiliate her.

We won't let her sigh.

We won't even let her wince.

Gandi Baat- R.. Rajkumar

When I was a gentleman to you,

You said, "Go away, rascal!" and gave me an attitude,

I've been polite to you, but enough,

Now I'll get dirty with you.

Now you see what I’m talking about. Please Bollywood Please. Give us QUALITY.
