And yet the fans are unaware about the inspiriting love-story of Kapil and Ginni. Let us take you down the memory-lanes for enlightening fans about the real-life love story of comedian-actor Kapil Sharma and Ginni Charath:
Comedian Kapil Sharma found his love back in 2005 when he was auditioning for actors in HMV College in Jalandhar. Back then, Ginni Charath was a 19-year-old student at the HMV College and Kapil was a 24-year-old national student of APJ College who visited her college for auditioning students for a play that he was directing for his college. Sharma says that he was highly impressed by Ginni on the first meeting itself.
In an interview, Kapil said: "She studied in HMV College (Jalandhar). I was a scholarship holder, as I was a national winner in theatre. I was a student of APJ College and in order to make some pocket money, I started directing plays. I went to audition students at her college and that's how we met in 2005."
Their love-story was not started suddenly as both of them; Kapil and Ginni were unaware of their feelings for each other. Kapil added that she liked him from the beginning as she used to bring home-made food for him, everyday. Kapil further added that his friends hinted that Ginni like him.
Kapil Sharma said: "One day, I directly asked Ginni, 'Tu mujhe like toh nahi karti?' and she denied. Later, at a youth festival, I introduced her to my mother as one of my students. Then I came to Mumbai for the Laughter Challenge audition and by then, I had also appeared on a Punjabi TV channel. Ginni was impressed with me because I was studying and working at such a young age."
Our beloved comedian Kapil's first proposal of marrying Ginni was ridiculed by her father. But soon, Kapil Sharma gained instant popularity with his show, Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma and everything fell in his favor.
Soon-to-be Sharma, Ginni said: "Kapil is a gem of a person and very caring. There is no one like him and I can't find anyone better than him. He is a family man. If he loves his mother and sister so much, it's certain that he would love his partner, too. He is a star for the audience, not for me. He is still humble the way he was years ago and hasn't changed at all."
After 13-years of non-stop efforts, Kapil finally managed to convince Ginni's parents for letting him marry her. And now when everything has fallen in place, Kapil and Ginni publically announced their wedding dates and venues. Kapil and Ginni's wedding ceremony will commence with a jagran on December 10. The wedding will take place in Jalandhar on December 12 while a reception is planned for December 22.
