The long in love couple including Downtown Abbey and Bohemian Rhapsody actor Allen Leech and US actress Jessica Blair have finally tied the knot on 5th January. The wedding ceremony took place in Alisal Ranch and Resort in Santa Ynez Valley of California. Stars like Michelle Dockery, Dan Stevens and Golden Globe winner, Bohemian Rhapsody's Rami Malek were seen attending the event.
Talking about the weather of the day, the actor thought that there would be sunlight and blue skies but the case was just the opposite. Expressing the same, the groom said, "It ended up being something quite different. When you get married in California you expect sunshine, but a little bit of Ireland blew over on the day and we had some heavy rain."
Despite a sudden change in the weather on the wedding the day, the rains added an extra hint of magic to the occasion. Due to unpredictable weather, the singers that the hosts had booked for the wedding could not attend the event and the Glee stars Darren Criss and Lea Michelle performed on the marriage entertaining the guests.
"Everyone rallied round, the weather only made the day more epic. Darren and Lea are such great people and great friends, and they said, 'Absolutely no problem' when we told them the situation. We grabbed a guitar and they ended up singing the music for our ceremony,” said the actor. "Everyone said they had never been to a wedding where everyone was singing before the bride had even arrived," he further added.
The bride, Jessica Blair, made her entry in a Monique Lhuillier gown with Yves Saint Laurent heels and just left her guests awestruck with her appearance. No less than the bride, the groom was adorned in deep navy army suit paired well with a burgundy bow tie. "That moment of seeing Jessica, oh my God, it was magical. It will stay with me forever," he said. "As soon as I met him there was a sense of ease and comfort, that I knew marriage would be uncomplicated and beautiful with him,” said Jessica.
On a relatable note, the actress has gained her acting credits in the US through TV shows including The People v OJ: American Crime Story, Modern Family and New Girl.
