Special effects, stunt performers and computer-generated imagery definitely make a superhero's job really easy but it's really complicated and it's crucially important for an actor to look the part they're playing. Actors who play superheroes on-screen have to go through a really intense training sporting hard diet regimes.
Recently, the training routine of Oscar-winning actor Brie Larson, who is all set to star in the first ever female-led Marvel film - Captain Marvel has been revealed over the web. It looks so hard that it would probably discourage other actors from playing superheroes. In the video below, you can see her intense training included 100 kg dead-lifts and 200 kg hip thrusts.
In an interview, Larson said that her vigorous training not only help her transform into Captain Marvel but also helped her mentally prepare for the tough role. “A huge part of Captain Marvel is her strength. I knew if I could go through that experience, I would get closer to her and I’d understand her," she explained.
Avengers: Infinity War did give us a teaser of Captain Marvel in its post-credit scene. She is also expected to join the remaining Avengers force their next movie, End Game. The trailer of Captain Marvel was revealed in December last year which also featured other actors like Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg and Jude Law. It seemed promising and has been gathering a lot of appreciation world-wide. The movie is slated for a March 8 release.
