Rohit Shetty directed movie Simmba recently released on 28 December 2018 and just within a week it marked its presence on the Indian Cinema by crossing 100 crores of the collection. In the second week of its release, the movie is now only a few steps behind to cross 200 crores of the net collection. For the success of the film, the lead actors Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh were seen celebrating a success bash with the director and other stars in Mumbai on Monday.
The party was a glitzy get together of the Bollywood celebrities. Famous actress Deepika Padukone was also seen attending the party for hubby Ranveer Singh’s first success of the year. The actress was spotted arriving solo at the party. Not only Deepika, but actress Kajol also attended the event accompanied by her husband Ajay Devgn who has a significant role in the movie. Housefull actor Akshay Kumar was also a part of the Simmba celebration party. Sonu Sood who was seen playing the antagonist onscreen in the movie was seen arriving at the venue with wife Sonali.
To adorn the event furthermore, producer Karan Johar, designer Manish Malhotra and Shweta Bachchan were also present at the party. Ranveer Singh was all overwhelmed with the success of his recent release. By reaching at the verge of 200 crores of the collection, Ranveer’s Simmba has left his Bajirao Mastani behind and become his highest grosser. As per the predictions, Rohit’s movie is expected to cross 250 crores by 3rd and 4th week of its release. Moreover, the movie with its commendable script and acting has stolen a place in the list of highest earning movies of the year 2018.
The movie has been the first-ever collaboration of the Singham director Rohit Shetty and Padmaavat actor Ranveer Singh and it seems that Jodi became an ideal one for Bollywood. Recently, Simmba aka Ranveer Singh in an interview held Shetty responsible for making the film a big hit. He said, "I want to thank Rohit Shetty for believing in me and making me his hero. Rohit's vision propelled by the collective effort of his entire team has been the sole reason behind Simmba hitting the bull's eye. It has been an absolute honour to work with him and his stellar team. Their large-hearted mentoring and exemplary work ethic has spurred a tremendous growth in me as a performer."
On a related note, Ranveer Singh will further be seen in Zoya Akhtar's directed movie Gully Boy. The actor will be seen sharing the screen with Alia Bhatt for the first time in Bollywood.
