10 Web Series to watch before 2018 ends!


On the silver screens, the year 2018 witnessed many gems like Raazi, 2.0, Padmaavat, Badhaai Ho and Andhadhun among others but what really won our hearts this year were the web series, without a doubt. We saw some better performances on the web that we watch on the big screens. We also saw many A-list actors from Bollywood, entering the world of web series and indeed that gave their career a new dimension.

Sacred Games

Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte starrer Sacred Games was Netfix's first Hindi original web series. The series showcased some of the most brilliant actors and a mind-blasting storyline. This show, in true, sense, raised the bar for an average Indian show really high. It witnessed the most amounts of praises and controversies after releasing. If you havn't still watched Sacred Games, have you even watched Netflix?


Dice Media's first web series about two best friends sharing a home, away from home. In a very chic way, the makers created a relatable story that shows social media struggles, friendly banter, and career problems. Aduting stars Yashaswini Dayama and Aisha Ahmed who nailed their pivotal roles in the series.

Watch FLAMES on The Timeliners when you want to relive the best moments of your teenage years. Tuition romance, friends for life, exams pressure, etc., this web series will make you nostalgic. It stars adorable actors Ritvik Sahore (of Laakhon Mein Ek fame) and Tanya Maniktala in lead roles.


The amazon Prime original series, starring R. Madhavan and Amit Sadh, is nothing like your average Indian thriller. Watch Breathe to witness a complete different side of a father's love, some commendable acting skills and amazing story.

Little Things 2

Produced by dice media, the first season of Little Things released in 2016 and turned out to be a massive hit on Youtube. Therefore, right before the release of its season 2 Netflix purchased the rights and released it on Netflix. This show is a breath of fresh air and is nothing like cliché Bollywood love-stories. It takes you through the real ups and downs in modern day relationships, for example, being stuck in a wrong career while your other half is doing better in their career everyday.


When a strong cast like Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Sweta Tripathi, Vikrant Massey and Divyendu Sharma are present, you can only imagine the kind of energy is created on screen. Available on the Amazon Prime, Mirzapur is a journey of two brothers bound by the idea of power that only consumes them.

Official CEOgiri

Produced by Arre, Official CEOgiri is the second season of their original web series Official Chukyagiri and represents the struggles of corporate life from a CEO's point of view. It casts the most-charming Sumeet Vyas in a pivotal role.

The Reunion

The zoom studios original series explores through the lives of four former college friends, who re-unite again in a college re-union. This series have enough peasant moments that would surely remind you of your college days. The gracious-young star cast makes it even more relatable to the youth.

What The Folks 2

It's the modern day saas-bahu serial where it portrays a journey of how new-age families are breaking all stereotypes, overcoming generation gaps and even  being from separate generations, their love keeps growing for one-another. The star cast of this series includes Veer Rajwant Singh, and Eisha Chopra.

It Happened In Hong Kong

Viu India's original, It Happened In Hong Kong stars Aahana Kumra and Amol Parashar in lead roles, is the kind of love story required in this wanderlust generation. While it can be a little clichéd in some parts, this new age love-story should be in your must watch, before 2018 ends.
