Top 5 reasons why Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan became a bearer of bad-reviews!

Indian audience always have higher expectations from perfectionist Aamir Khan's movies. However, this time Aamir and Big B starrer Thugs of Hindostan (ToH) terribly failed in impressing the masses. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Thugs of Hindostan had every element of surprise in the movie including star-studded cast, compelling item songs and YRF's banner.

Yet, ToH is being referred to as the worst movie of 2018. Why is that? Why did such a grand movie failed to connect with the audience? Was it the excessive Computer-Generated Images (CGI)? If not the above mentioned reasons then what led to Dangal and Secret Superstar hit-maker's movie fail?

As per the reports, Amitabh Bachchan starrer periodical-drama is struggling at the Box-Office and the actual reasons behind it lie deep in the making of Thugs of Hindostan. As per our sources, ToH has grossed Rs 5-5.25 crore net on Monday, which takes its total to Rs 122.50 crore.

Let us reveal to you the top 5 reasons why Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie is not excelling at the Box-Office:

Ticket Price

Soon after the movie observed a grand opening by collecting Rs 52 crore on the first day, the makers decided to increase the ticket-prices by at least 10 per cent more than Sanju. As a result, Thugs of Hindostan's collection started decreasing on a daily basis. So, the ticket's price-hike can be declared as a justified reason for the downfall of ToH.

Irrelevant Promotions

You have to admit that the movie was not promoted in a conventional manner. The promotional strategy was highly driven and only the teaser of the Suraiyya song featuring Katrina Kaif was revealed to the masses. For once, the audience (including me) started thinking that the movie is just an extension of the Suraiyya song and not vice versa.

There were many cliches in the movie including the storyline of Thugs of Hindostan. A king’s daughter seeking revenge, a caretaker warrior with a falcon flying around his horse and a treacherous East India Company officer; All of it well-repeated and rehearsed in previous Bollywood movies. Hence, Thugs of Hindostan fails to make a grip on the audience.

Poor CGI

As a spectator who has watched Avengers: Infinity War and other blockbuster international projects, Thugs of Hindostan terribly failed in delivering a stunning visual experience to the fans. The CGI looks immensely poor and if anything, repelled the audience.

Big stars but story!

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Thugs of Hindostan had the most compelling star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh in pivotal characters. and yet, the audience failed to approve the story written by the script-writers. Along with the stars, the movie required better screenplay and editing for surviving the critics.

Now, we finally know the actual reasons behind the fail of Thugs of Hindostan. Stay tuned for more entertainment related updates
