The man with droolworthy looks and chivalry in his blood, Saif Ali Khan, has never disappointed his fans. The superstar is set to make a comeback to the silver screen after three years with director Raja Krishna Menon's next project Chef, which is the official remake of American film Chef (2014).
The Nawab of Bollywood knows how to dazzle the screen with his amazing skills and none of us expect any less.
Now when it comes to movies and their content, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India often loses it. And if your leading man in the film is a divorcee, who smokes then the CBFC is bound to frown upon your film. Hence they granted UA certificate to Chef, which is slated to release on October 6, 2017.
But we have 5 strong points which will make you go and watch the movie. Let's get right into it:
Yet to release, Chef is a typical Bollywood masala movie with a hint of comedy and a pinch of drama to balance everything out. The story revolves around Roshan Kalra who has passion for cooking and is very successful in it but no love in his life. He decides to take some time off and visits his ex-wife and son in Koechin, and finds inspiration in starting a food truck.
With a cast including Dinesh Prabhakar, Padmapriya and Dhanish Karthik from Mollywood, the film has an A-lister in the lead itself, Saif Ali Khan. Not to miss, some interesting cameos of Canadian comedian Russell Peters and our gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan.
It'll be a funny, feel-good movie
After a hectic week at work, it will be nice to watch a good mvoie at the cinema hall. Chef will be light and hilarious, so we all have a good time. After all, it's rated UA purely for the fact that Saif is portraying a divorcee who smokes.
As it is the official remake of American Chef (2014), it has good word of mouth advantage, already. The trailers make the movie look charming with a sharp and funny script which makes this feel-good comedy a flavorful treat.
Serious Food Porn
No one can dare to go to this movie hungry. In the trailer itself, we see so much of delicious cooking what will happen when the food is blowing up on the silver screen with complete sound, perfect lighting, presentation and the knowledge that you can't have any of it. I'm sure after watching it, you're going to want some delicious Nando's cravings.
This film has our hopes high, let's see how it turns out to be. Don't forget, keep your weekend book. As if you all needed convincing to go see a movie about food.
