As we all know, James Wan said he wouldn’t be directing the next Conjuring movie due to some prior commitments. The project has been given to Michael Chaves who successfully impressed Wan and other member of the Conjuring Universe. As stated by James Wan, who directed the last two parts of the series said that the third movie, The Curse of La Llorona will be based in 1980s and it might include a lycanthropy (a human with capability to shapeshift into a wolf.)
Wan added in his statement about his knowledge of the film, "Maybe we can go and do it like a classic American Werewolf in London style. That would be awesome! The Warrens set against the backdrop of The Hound of Baskerville. That would be awesome." However, the new poster was recently revealed which says, “She wants your children.”
The film is said to be inspired by the Mexican legend of the Weeping Woman the ghost of a mother who lost her children, and is an evil soul that preys on the loves of little kids in this sequel.
