The much talked about foreign movie, Crazy Rich Asians gathered a lot of appreciation worldwide. The movie became such a hit that its sequel is already in the making and will release soon.
Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M Chu is busy with other projects, keeping CRA2 on hold
Based on the best-selling novel of Kevin Kwan, Crazy Rich Asians remained on the top of US box office consecutively for three weeks. However, makers suggest that there will be delay in the sequel of the much-hyped romantic comedy movie, Crazy Rich Asians.
In the upcoming sequel, rumored to be titled as Crazy Rich Asians 2 will be directed by Jon M Chu who is currently busy with other projects in his kitty. Rachel Chu aka Constance Wu is expected to reprise the same role in its sequel.
Constance Wu said in an interview, "I don't know much about the production side of things. But I know that Jon wants to direct the next one, and all next year he's directing In the Heights."
On a related note, Crazy Rich Asians writer Adele Lim and Peter Chiarelli will return for the second installment of the movie along with director Jon M Chu. Besides Constance Wu, Crazy Rich Asians featured Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh, Gemma Chan, Awkwafina, Lisa Lu, Ken Jeong, and Nico Santos among others.
As per our sources, the upcoming sequel will revolve around the story of Charlie Wu aka Harry Shum Jr. who made a cameo in Crazy Rich Asians
