Disney's much-awaited project, Mary Poppins Returns is all set to release in the coming month and the audience is filled with anticipation. The prequel of the movie released 54-years-back i.e., 1964.

Mary Poppins Returns which was in the making process for whooping 54-years will soon be released on 19th December 2018. Although, the movie has not yet been released but Disney Channel started some award season screenings for Academy Award, as per the reports.
Sources add that the screening ended with a standing ovation from Academy award members. Hence, it won't be wrong to say that the movie isn't far away from winning an Oscar Award.
If rumors are to be believed then Mary Poppins Returns may have a good chance of finding a slot in the nominations of Best Picture and Best Actress categories during the Academy Award 2019.
Directed by Rob Marshall, Mary Poppins Returns makers have decided on submitting the tracks of the movie, 'Trip a Little Light Fantastic' and 'The Place Where Lost Things Go' in the award ceremony.
Talking about the 'need' of Mary Poppins Returns movie, Rob said: "We live in such a fragile time, that we need this film. I certainly felt that I needed it. I needed to turn off the news and be launched into a magical world where wondrous things can happen still, and there's hope."
On a related note, Mary Poppins Returns will feature Emily Blunt, Dick Van Dyke, Meryl Streep, Angela Lansbury and Julie Walters in pivotal characters. Rob Marshall directorial will be released on 19th December 2018.
