Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are proud parents of a baby boy. Kensington Palace has revealed that the royal baby was born on April 23, 2018 at 1101hrs local time of England.
Louis means renowned warrior.
Duke of Cambridge, Prince William was there at the birth of the newborn prince weighing 3.82 kg. The palace has further added that the baby and mother are “doing well“.
Kensington Palace shared a statement, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles.” They added,“the baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.”
Louis, implies “renowned warrior” in French which apparently is a tribute to Prince Philip’s grandfather whose name was Prince Louis Alexander of Battenberg.
Louis is an essential part of the full name of Prince William i.e. William Arthur Philip Louis and Prince George’s full name is George Alexander Louis. The name hold crucial importance to William’s own father, Prince Charles as his beloved mentor and great-uncle, Earl Louis Mountbatten was assassinated by the IRA during 1979.
