“Hangover” director Todd Philips is now going to direct the next film centering around Batman’s iconic villain ‘Joker’. After a lot of debates, The Immigrant star Joaquin Phoenix was finalized last month as the arch-nemesis of Batman. Well, the movie is said to star Joaquin Phoenix as a lead and is all set to turn your frown upside down next year.

Joker will be produced by Emma Tillinger Koshkoff and executive-produced by Richard Barata. The budget of the movie falls in the 55 million dollar range and will begin shooting in September and the movie is set to begin production later this year.
According to the sources, “Warner Bros. Announced on Wednesday that the movie is scheduled to release on October 4, 2019.” “He is going to make its presentation in an H-hall on Saturday,” they added.
Warner Bros. called the movie an “exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale.” is meant to be darker and more experimental in tone and content, which is described as being akin to a crime drama.
The movie will open opposite Fox’s thriller The Woman and Paramount’s sci-fier “Gemini Todd”.
