'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' actress Katherine Waterston is happy to be part of Arctic explorer Roald Amundsen's biopic film 'Amundsen'.
Katherine is going to work with Espen Sandberg.
According to reports, the 38-year-old actress who rose to fame with films like Ridley Scott's 'Alien: Covenant' and Paul Thomas Anderson's 'Inherent Vice'. She is going to portray Amundsen’s last love named Bess Magdis.
The film will be helmed by Espen Sandberg. Once again, he will collaborate with his 'Kon-Tiki' actor Pal Sverre Hagen, the guy who is playing the titular character. Actor Christian Rubeck will portray the role of Amundsen's brother.
The film will follow the direction as to how Amundsen triumphed his epic race toward the South Pole. In his race, he beat Robert Scott and the British Empire. The movie is going to highlight the aspects of Amundsen's personal life that involves secret affairs and his troubled bonding with his own brother.
The film will be shot amidst Iceland, Norway and Czech Republic. The movie can be expected to hit the theatres early next year.
