Actor Matthew McConaughey recently admitted that How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days was the worst romantic comedy he has ever made. Opposite Matthew, the movie casts Kate Hudson in a lead role and received mixed reactions from the critics and audience.
The Oscar-winning actor has worked in many different and popular rom-coms including The Wedding Planner, Failure to Launch and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past but recently he revealed that How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is the worst rom-com movie he has ever made.
McConaughey, when reached at Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen was asked to tell about his worst rom-com. The actor replied by saying, “Let’s go How to Lose a Guy … then let’s go Failure to Launch then The Wedding Planner.” “So How to Lose a Guy… that film has been my greatest mailbox money of any film. It is always on and there’s always this great little cheque that shows up in the mail from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I did that however many years ago,” he further added.
Casting Kate Hudson and McConaughey, the movie is directed by Donald Petrie and adapted from a cartoon book of the same name by Michele Alexander and Jeannie Long.
Being released in 2003, apart from the lead actors, the movie also casts Kathryn Hahn, Annie Parisse, Adam Goldberg, Thomas Lennon, Michael Michele, Robert Klein and Shalom Harlow.
