Directed by Russo Brothers, Avengers Endgame will be the final installment of Marvel Studios' hit franchise, Avengers. The fourth installment of the superhero movie will have a runtime of 3-hours, Russo Brothers revealed during a recent conversation with the media.
As we all know, there are a lot of mysteries that needs to be solved in Endgame and that is why the directors have admitted the fact that its runtime is almost 3-hours-long. Avengers: Endgame will hit the theaters on 26 April 2019.
“We’re still at the three-hour mark,” Joe Russo said.
“I think the studio is down with what the best story is. Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great responses from our test audiences and we’re feeling very good about where it is. We’re still doing work to it. We’re not done with it. Again, this is a culmination film of 22 movies; it’s a lot of storytelling to work into it. Emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us. When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate. This one, in particular, feels like three hours worth of real estate,” added the Russo brother.
Also, Russo Brothers confirmed that the upcoming superhero movie is going to be around 3-hour-long, earlier in November. Talking about the long runtime and its engagement with the audience, Anthony said: “We have screened the movie four times for audiences now. For the first three screenings, not a single person got up to go to the bathroom.”
On a related note, Avengers Endgame which is scheduled for release on 26th April 2019 will also feature Brie Larson's character Captain Marvel along with the initial list of Marvel superheroes. Captain Marvel will be released on 6th March 2019.
