A writer who brought some of the most famous superheroes viz., Ironman, Thor, Black Panther and others, Stan Lee, 95, has died. One of the most influential visionaries of the century, Stan has created or co-created almost all the characters of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
With great powers come great responsibilities!
Black Panther, Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Mighty Thor, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Ant-Man and many other superheroes were penned down by the legendary writer, editor and publisher Stan Lee. He is the one who taught the world that for being a superhero, one doesn't require super-powers and that imagination is the biggest superhero.
As per a report, the 95-year-old visionary died early Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. And the world is moaning in grief. Stan Lee's face is not new to the masses all over the world after witnessing his witty cameos in most of the Marvel movies.
Also, the last few years of Stan Lee's life have been completely off-track. Soon after the death of his wife Joan Lee in July '17, Lee sued executives at an entertainment company POW! Reports also suggest that Stan sued his ex-business manager on account of some fraud in his affairs which clearly show that he was facing a couple of problems during the last few days of his life.
Stan Lee who started working in 1960, has collaborated with Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and others for making Marvel Comics, the world's No. 1 publisher of comic books. Now, Lee's estate is estimated to be worth of $70 million.
During an earlier interview, Stan Lee said: "I used to think what I did was not very important. People are building bridges and engaging in medical research, and here I was doing stories about fictional people who do extraordinary, crazy things and wear costumes. But I suppose I have come to realize that entertainment is not easily dismissed."
Stan Lee's worldwide fame is incomparable for his remarkable contribution to the world of entertainment. Celebrities all over the globe are talking about the great writer, Lee and his remarkable contribution.
Disney chairman and CEO, Bob Iger shed some light on the greatness of the late writer and creator by saying: “Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created. A superhero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain and to connect. The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart."
President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige said: “No one has had more of an impact on my career and everything we do at Marvel Studios than Stan Lee. Stan leaves an extraordinary legacy that will outlive us all. Our thoughts are with his daughter, his family and the millions of fans who have been forever touched by Stan’s genius, charisma and heart.”
Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo said: "Sad, sad day. Rest In Power, Uncle Stan. You have made the world a better place through the power of modern mythology and your love of this messy business of being human..."
