Comedian Kapil Sharma who was once on top of his career as an entertainer with hit-show Comedy Nights with Kapil, has decided to settle down for now. Although, the rumors of Firangi actor tying knot with alleged love-interest Ginni Chatrath has been circling around for quite-some-time now but this time Kapil himself has confirmed the news.
Kapil Sharma will get married to Gini Chatrath on 12th December, followed by a reception on 14th December in Jalandhar
In a recent conversation with media, Kapil Sharma confirmed marrying long-time girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12 in Jalandhar. Talking about his marriage, Kapil said: "The wedding is on December 12 in Jalandhar. That's Ginni's hometown. We wanted to keep it low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish."
Kis Kis Se Pyaar Karu actor recalls the time when his family weren't able to celebrate his elder brother's marriage as they expected.
"During the time when my brother married, I had not started earning well. We just went as a small baraat (wedding procession) and got bhabhi (sister-in-law) home. But by the time my sister got married, I had begun to earn well. So we had a fairly large wedding. It was lavish by our standards," added Kapil.
Comedian Kapil who was once a top-class entertainer, is currently struggling in regaining his charm on the small screen. It has been said that he wanted to keep the news of his marriage under wraps. "For the past few weeks, I've been promoting my Punjabi film. I didn't want to talk about the wedding during the promotions, although the media repeatedly kept asking," Sharma said.
On a related note, Kapil Sharma is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming production, 'Son of Manjeet Singh'.
