Who doesn’t love Karan Johar’s directorial debut film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai? The iconic movie was released 20 years ago starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukherjee and Salman Khan. It is a film that can never be forgotten for its dialogues, music and fashion.
Raveer Singh is going to marry Deepika Padukone on November 14 & 15, this year.
Last night, the second episode of Koffee with Karan 6 aired on Indian television where Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar shared the couch. Most energetic Ranveer made some bold statements, as always and we could not contain our laughter.
Few weeks ago, Karan Johar mentioned in a show that if any of his film ever has to be remade, he’s definitely cast Ranbir Kapoor in a lead role. On Sunday, Ranveer Singh gave him a different suggestion and we loved it!
During the famed rapid fire round, Ranveer Singh, who is also a big bollywood buff, expressed his desire to be a part of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai sequel and he also revealed the dream cast he wants to co star with. When the host of KwK 6, Karan Johar asked him, “Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt - Who would you want to be paired with next,” Ranveer got very excited and said, “Both!”
When Karan further asked, does he want to be cast in the same film with both the female actors, Ranveer Singh explained, “Yeah, it would be like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2'. And then, Ranbir (Kapoor) can enter as Salman. What a great idea! It's a block, Karan. Do it.”
Johar didn’t seem equally excited with this idea and asked him, “And, you have given Ranbir the special appearance?” to which Ranveer replied, “I mean it was a great entry. He entered the shot in a great way. That back-shot was so iconic.”
Karan Johar was recently asked on his radio show that who would he want to cast in Kyuch Kuch Hota Hai 2, the 46-year-old filmmaker and producer said, “If I made Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2, I would cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in it.” Although, we love Ranveer’s casting idea better, it's more fun and exciting but the truth of the story is the iconic movie of 1998 will not be getting any sequels as Karan Johar has repeatedly said at many events that even if he wish to, he can’t imagine himself making this film again. “I was 24 when I wrote that film. But I can't write the same film now. When I see Kuch Kuch Hota Hai today or Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham I myself wonder, 'Why did I write this, how did I write this, from where these thoughts came to my mind?” Karan told a leading daily in his recent interview.
Ranveer Singh also said on the show that, later in his career he would love to play Taimur Ali Khan’s on screen father and mentions this kid will be his “budhape ka sahara.” LOL, what a fun episode it was indeed!
