For the coming 70th Republic Day and elections of April-May, TV actors including Mohit Malik, Rohitashv Gour and Sara Khan are hoping that the new government will work hard to fight against the growing corruption and crimes against women.

Kulfi Kumar Bajewala actor Mohit Malik said, “I hope to see better infrastructure and employment for the under-privileged and more opportunities for everyone. I would love to have different coastal ports for internal travel. For example, ferries from Versova to Bandra to cut traffic. I love this city (Mumbai), but the traffic is the only thing that is not in our control and I know it will keep increasing. So maybe, using another mode of transport like water can help,” while expressing his views over the matter.

Actress Sara Khan said that elections are an important time for a nation. “We vote for someone with a lot of hope and expectations. I understand that there is a need for time and process to settle down everything. We citizens need to have passion.” Furthermore, the actress believes that education and respect for women are the things of crucial importance and wants that the forthcoming government will take action against the rising crimes against females.

Rohitashv Gour, playing the role of Manmohan Tiwari in the comedy daily soap, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, feels that even after continuous changes taking place in our judicial system, it still continues to lack behind for the protection of women. He said, “The one alteration to an Indian law that could change the way India sees its women is extreme penalty against minors held for a rape case. If we believe in taking stringent action against those who are responsible for victimising women, the age of the man should not determine the level of action to be taken against him."

Another famous TV actress, Ashnoor Kaur, from a show Patiala Babes expressed that the government is surely working on the empowerment of women but it needs to work harder to make it impactful. Mai Bhi Ardhangini actor, Akash Sachdev, on the other hand, prays for a better and safe India for women.

Like our TV actors, we also wish for a safer country for the females. Are your thoughts similar? Let us know about your views in the comment’s section below and stay tuned for more entertainment related updates.
