Critics’ Choice Awards 2019: Christian Bale wins Best Actor, Glenn Close and Lady Gaga face a tie for Best Actress award

Feature

On Sunday, the entire entertainment industry united as one to attend the 24th annual ceremony, held at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California. At the event, Roma won the Critics’ Choice Awards in best picture category, foreign language film and a pair of individual honors for director Alfonso Cuaron.

There was also a tie in the top actress award between Glenn Close for The Wife and Lady Gaga for A Star Is Born. The split win comes a week after Close won the Golden Globe Award for best actress in a film drama, an award that many expected Lady Gaga would win.
