Happy Birthday Jr. Bachchan: He might not be a hit, but he is a Hero!

Though he was not able to make a mark like his father in the film industry but still he's given us some movies that will always be remembered. Yes, we're talking about Abhishek Bachchan. He announced his entry into Bollywood with JP Dutta’s 2000 film Refugee that also marked Kareena Kapoor’s debut in the industry.

Born in 1976 to superstars Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek always dreamed of becoming an actor. He went to study business in US but did not complete it as he wanted to pursue his dream in front of the camera.

While moving ahead professionally, Abhishek also decided to settle down with his girlfriend, model-turned-actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He proposed her after the premiere Guru in Toronto, and in 2007 they tied the knot. Their first child, daughter Aaradhya, was born in 2011.

We all agree that Abhishek Bachchan is in fact, an underrated actor and he has seen his own share of ups and downs. So on this occasion of his birthday, let's look at some of the amazing performance by the actor:

Yuva


Helmed by Mani Ratnam, this film proved that Abhishek is an actor who can pull of intense characters. He was also awarded the Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actor. Abhishek played the role of rough Lallan Singh to perfection and did leave an indelible impression on the movie buffs.

Guru


Abhishek proved himself by showing the capabilities of pulling off a brilliant role. There nothing more to say because this movie is his best performance!

Dostana


Who would take up the challenge of pretending to be a gay onscreen? Well, Abhishek came on board for Dostana and he wasn't paired opposite any actress but John Abraham and the film was amazing. The film went on to become a huge success!

Dhoom Series

Paa


Now, coming to sharing screen space with dad Amitabh Bachchan - the actor left no stone unturned in Sarkar and Paa. Talking about Paa, it surely wasn't easy to play the onscreen father of your real father, but the actor did amazing on the silver screen.
