Beat the summer heat with these mouth watering cocktails

The only answer to this scorching sun is cocktails and mocktails. We don’t have a control over summer heat but we can fight it back with some amazing summer coolers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Don’t chase anything but drinks and dreams

Cocktails are a mood changer or we can say ‘instant’ mood changer. Alcohol, when mixed with other ingredients, turns out to be a scrumptious combination. These appetizing drinks will blow your mind and make your summer ready-

Raspberry Cooler

Raspberry sorbet mixed with wine to treat your taste buds with the best.


3/4 c. sparkling wine 

1 tsp. raspberry sorbet


Pour the wine into a glass and add sorbet to it.

Grapefruit- Mint Bellini

This cocktail with is a treat to your palates as it combines 3 delicious flavors in the world: grapefruit, mint and bubbly. You need no mixer for this, just use your stove and you are good to go.


1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1 bunch fresh mint

2 – 3 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

1 bottle sparkling wine 

Edible flowers, for garnish


In a pan, bring sugar, water and mint to a boil. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved completely. Remove from the heat and let cool completely, then discard mint sprigs.

Divide simple syrup and grapefruit juice between 6 glasses and stir. Top with champagne and garnish with edible flowers.

Georgia Bulldogs Spiked Sweet Tea

For all the vodka lovers, this cocktail is what you’ll crave for just by looking at its picture.


2 oz. vodka

12 oz. sweet tea

1 handful ice

1 sliced orange (optional)


Mix vodka and sweet tea.

Pour into a large glass filled with ice. Garnish with orange.

Piña Colada Mimosas

Yes, you read it right ‘Pina colada’ that is loved by almost each one of us. Don’t forget to prepare this scrumptious cocktail the next time you host a house party.


1 c. sugar

Pineapple wedge, for rimming glasses

1 c. pineapple juice

1/2 c. coconut rum

1 bottle prosecco

Pineapple slices, for garnish

Maraschino cherries, for garnish


In a small dish, pour sugar. Rim glasses with pineapple wedges then dip in sugar.

Pour 1/4 cup pineapple juice and 2 ounces coconut rum into each flute then top with prosecco.

Garnish with a pineapple slice and a maraschino cherry and serve.
