SDCC: Ryan Reynold turns to Deadpool's bisexuality

by Unik Dhandhi, Monday, July 23, 2018

Ryan Reynolds is known for his quirky style and jokes. From being the most loved anti-superhero, Ryan always has something fresh on the plate for us. In a recent media interaction at the San Diego Comic Con Ryan Reynold made a very interesting statement, saying, “I want to explore the bisexuality of Deadpool in future films based on the character.”

Ryan Reynold will be next producing Rob letterman’s Detective Pikachu

A bisexual fan asked, if future Deadpool movies will have more gay characters or not. Reynold replied, "I certainly think that this universe... needs to represent and reflect the world in very real ways," He added, "The great thing about 'Deadpool' is that we are allowed to do things that other superhero movies do not necessarily do. It is something that I would love to see more of, certainly through Wade, certainly through this universe because it is something that we are building out more." But, after a small pause, Ryan Reynolds also added, "But yeah, they are both pretty bad."

During the event, Reynolds was also asked by a fan about his role in Green Lantern and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The 41-year-old actor stated, "I am extremely grateful for both the features as they both gave him many jokes that he used in Deadpool 2."

Well, The Proposal actor Ryan Reynolds' fans are well aware of the fact that the Deadpool actor does not have any soft spot for Green Lantern and X-Men Origins movies. The same we can see as in Deadpool 2, it is depicted how Wade Wilson used cable’s time-travelling devise to kill both the X-men version of Deadpool and while actor Ryan Reynolds he is considering to give a shot in Green Lantern.

The story of Green Lantern (2011) follows the plot where Hal Jordan, a test pilot is selected to become the first human to join the Green Lantern Corps and was provided with a ring that boosts his energy, leaving him with extraordinary superpowers. The film landed on a production budget of $200 million whereas garnered only $219 million.

And, as a result, Green Lantern received mostly negative reviews from critics and fans alike. The movie was prominently criticized for its poor screenplay and incompatible narration. Well, this was the main reason because of which Warner Bros. cancelled the possibility of turning the project into a franchise.
