Living in this high-paced world can be tough and giving time to self is even tougher. Where there is no time left to enjoy even a proper meal, people have evolved for the greater good and gave birth to 'snacking'. Snack or on-the-go meal is immensely delicious and provides a sense of solitude in this chaotic world.
Eat, sleep, snack & repeat!
That crunchiness and unhealthy ingredients including loads of trans-fats made snack a necessary-evil for humanity. Leading to obesity and heart problems, snacks are undoubtedly an essential part of our daily-diet and 'stop-snacking' is never an option.
For the love of snacking, here are some healthy substitutes to your mid-day snacks:
Instead of your regular bag of trans-fat loaded potato chips, you must opt for nuts. There is huge variety of nuts available at your nearest grocery store including Fox nuts or Makhana, walnut, peanut and many more. Well! If you think that nuts aren't as crunchy or spicy then think again. You can roast, fry or eat your nuts raw if you wish.
Not everyone prefers a salty, spicy snack, some have a thing for chocolates, pastries, cookies or doughnuts and we call them 'sweet-toothed people'. So, if you are a ‘sweet-toothed snacker’ then the perfect substitutes for your sugary-snack are the fruits. They are delicious, healthy and colorful; what else do you need?
Even better, dry fruits!
Have you ever tried roaster almonds? If not then you know nothing about munching. However, roasted dry-fruits can be a bit expensive but they will surely save your heart a ton. There is a variety of dry-fruits available at your nearest grocery store.
Now, you would say that eating seeds is nowhere snacking but it indeed is. Pumpkin seeds or Flax seeds can do wonder to your health and are utterly delicious as well. If you don't know then Flax seed is not a food but a superfood.
So, throw away your air-filled, potato bags and rush to your nearest grocery store to put an end on your cravings along with staying healthy.
