Vinod Kapri's latest movie, Pihu is inspired by a true-story and indeed is every parent’s worst nightmare. It's an exploited horror film which is carried on the shoulders of a two-year-old adorable babygirl.
This weeks release, Pihu is not for weak-hearted people as you have to go through 93 minutes of a sadistic baby-hating thriller. The movie shows a little girl child landing in dangerous yet sad situations one after another as she is trapped alone in an apartment with a dead mother.
First of all, nobody would like to watch a baby cry. Second, we don't know what Vinod was thinking about audiences’ reaction when he was writing or even directing this depressing movie.
Pihu is the worst kind of mixture of Baby's Day Out without humour and Trapped with a little Rajkumar Rao. It's a wannabe horror version of the classic Home Alone that made no sense. The film is so loud; it feels like the dead mother would wake up from all the noise. It is such a lead down as the film has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur and ofcourse the little girl disserved better than this.READ MORE
