Karisma Kapoor ruled Bollywood back in the 90's and then went missing from the big screens after she became a mother of two adorable children. She has made her mark with blockbusters like Raja Hindustani, Raja Babu, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Biwi No 1, Zubeidaa and Fiza.
The most-glamorous sister duo of Bollywood, Karisma Kapoor sat down with her beloved sister Kaeena Kapoor khan for an episode of Kareena's latest radio show, What Woman Want. A one of its kind podcast show where Kareena is heard discussing millennial issues with women hood and helps society know them better.
During Kareena's episode with her elder sister, Karisma said that she finds the "comeback pressure" on an actresses face really unfair, especially after they took a required little break for their motherhood duties.
"I don't get this comeback term as it isn't used or said in other industry when women have rejoined their workplace,'' said Karisma Kapoor.
She appreciated the thinking of our new generations as she added, "We have an added pressure because we are from the entertainment industry. But, I am glad that game is changing and people have become so open-minded."
During the same conversation, she mentioned that it's important to evolve your thinking with changing times and she considers her younger sister Kareena as her role model.
Karisma said, "Today, you are my role model. We are in the same profession, and the kind of strength we offer to each other is amazing. Apart from you, our mom has been an inspiration who single-handedly raised us so well."
The daughters of veteran actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, Karisma is six years older than Kareena but are really close to each-other. When Kareena questioned her sis about staying revant in the showbiz industry, Karisma replied, "There is no recipe... It's all about moving with the times. I have spent 27 years in the industry. The formula for me is to keep up with the times and attempting different things which further helps to stay relevant." The 44-year-old actress credited her genes for her never-fading radiance.
"And, I guess it's the inner positivity which reflects on my face," also said the mother of two.
The episode featuring Karisma Kapoor will be aired on the radio on coming Wednesday.
