The first song of Kangana Ranaut's upcoming movie Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi has been released. The song Vijayi Bhava gives us a fresh glimpse of Kangana as a fierce warrior avatar.
The song starts with the queen of Jhansi scarifying her alankar by setting fire to all her wealth to adorn weapons. She sheds her throne-bound queen avatar and eventually transforms into a ferocious warrior queen. As the title suggests, Rani Laxmi Bai trains her army of women commanders for a tough battle with East India Company. The new song also features a glimpse of newcomer Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkari Bai, who was Rani Laxmi Bai's closest helper and commander of her army.
In Vijayi Bhava, one gets to watch the end result of months of hard-substantial training in sword fighting that Kangana Ranaut had gone through in real to prep for this role. As Jhansi ki Rani she trains as well as head an army of women against the East India Company during the Indian Rebellion phase of 1857.
Vijayi Bhava indeed sounds very inspirational in tone and the manner it has been shot. The song is composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy while its lyrics are given by Prasoon Joshi and has also been sung by Shankar Mahadevan.
