Look at me Now hitmaker Chris Brown, who was under investigation earlier this week over a rape allegation, has been released without charges hours after being detained in Paris.
On Tuesday, Brown along with two of his associates, including a bodyguard, was held by the police at Le Mandarin Oriental hotel. They were in the city to attend the Paris Fashion Week. The 29-year-old singer was detained on suspicion of aggravated rape and a drug offense.
According to the complaint filed by the 24-year-old woman, the Kiss Kiss singer sexually assaulted her in his hotel room between January 15 and 16th, this year. She claims they met at Le Crystal club, near Les Champs-Elysees, and followed him back to the hotel.
Going by French publication Closer, the woman in her testimony claimed Brown raped her inside the room. After that, his bodyguard and a friend of his also sexually assaulted her. Meanwhile, the police continues to investigate the woman’s claim.
As soon as this nightmare for Brown ended, he took to Instagram and denied the allegation. “I wanna make it perfectly clear… This is false and a whole lot of cap! Never!!! For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!” he wrote alongside a picture that read: “This b***h lyin.”
The other two men that were arrested with him have also been released.
For the uninitiated, this isn't the first time that Brown has landed himself into legal trouble. Brown had received five years probation and a community service order for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, in his car in 2009.
