Much awaited Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer movie, Thugs of Hindostan is all set to release on this Diwali. It is being anticipated that film's producers and distributors have increased the ticket prices by 10 percent.
Thugs of Hindostan releases on 8 November, 2018.
This long weekend, most of us are looking forward to watch Thugs of Hindostan as it hits the theatres on November 8. There have been many rumours that there might be a hike in its ticket prices. According to a source, producers and distributors of this film, Yash Raj Films has increased the ticket prices atleast by 10 percent. It was reported by a leading daily that average price at the single screen theatres which are around Rs.200 could go up to Rs.400 and Rs.1,500 in premium multiplexes.
Recently, when Aamir Khan was asked about the same, he said that he was not aware about this surge.
"I can understand. It is an expensive film. Personally, I am always for tickets to be cheaper. I think we should have theatres that are economical and people should go and watch the film in theatres,” he adds.
ToH is indeed a very expensive film as it has been produced at an estimated budget of Rs. 300 Crores.
He also mentioned in the same interview that it's his dream for India to have economical theatres so that everyone has the opportunity to access the film.
However, we do not think this hike would effect on the ticket sales of this movie, as it's a long weekend and the trailer has been getting awesome reviews, globally.
Thugs of Hindostan might release in China early next year as the movie is being submitted to the censor board this month and it generally is a two-month long procedure.
