In order to spread awareness on women health and menstrual hygiene, Akshay Kumar is going to places. After making a brilliant film Padman, the man has installed a sanitary pad vending machine in the city.
Padman is making his away to good box office collection with around 60 crore till date.
The machine was inaugurated by the national award winning actor himself along with Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray. The machine is installed at the Mumbai Central ST Bus Depot and Khiladi Kumar wishes to open them all across the country.
Akshay, who is enjoying the success of his latest film Padman, took to twitter to post a photograph of him and Shiv Sena leader inaugurating the machine. He captioned the images as,
"Placed a sanitary pad vending machine at Mumbai Central ST Bus Depot today, hoping to place more across the state and eventually hopefully the whole country. Thank you Aaditya Thackeray for your support."
It was not long that Mr. Thackeray also replied, "Should cross the Rs 100 Crore mark soon! Thank you Akshay Kumarji for always being an inspiration to do good!"
Also starring Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, Padman is the maiden project of Twinkle Khanna’s production and deals the life of social entrepreneur and activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented a low-cost sanitary napkin making machine.
