Directed by Vijay Gutte, The Accidental Prime Minister features Anupam Kher in the lead role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Veteran star Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer movie turned out to be a massive success at the Indian Box Office.
Based on the autobiography of Indian politician and former PM Manmohan Singh, The Accidental Prime Minister has finally passed the Censor Board for release in Pakistan.
Produced by PEN India Limited, the movie will be released in Pakistan on 18th January 2019, revealed the owner of the production company, Jayantilal Gada. "PEN Studios is happy to announce that our one-of-a-kind political film, 'The Accidental Prime Minister', has got a green signal from our neighbouring country, Pakistan. Pakistani moviegoers will be able to enjoy the film as it is set to release there. I always admired Imran Khan as a brave cricketer, and now I respect him as a Prime Minister, too. I'm also thankful to Pakistan's Censor Board chairman for approving our film," said Gada.
Based on a novel titled as 'The Accidental Prime Minister' by Sanjaya Baru, Kher starrer was released on 11th January in India. Due to its sensitive topic, Vijay Gutte directorial has encountered several PILs by different courts around the nation.
