Badhaai Ho beats Thugs of Hindostan at the Indian Box Office

Feature

Badhaai Ho still has been running successfully at the theatres even after a month of its release. In fact outside India as well, Ayushmann Khurrana's Badhaai Ho has been making more business than Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan.

Since the time the trailer of ToH has the internet, it was getting mixed reviews. Although, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie opened to a record-breaking number at the box office, it has failed to impress its audience and that's the major reason its performance has been declining. The disastrous reviews of ToH helped this year's Dussehra release Badhaai Ho to stay in the lead at the box office.

Badhaai Ho was expected to fold Rs 115 Crore of lifetime business but till now the movie have has earned approximately Rs 126.60 Crore by running house full shows till date. Shockingly, it has been making more money in the international markets of the USA, Canada and Australia as well.

Badhaai Ho's box office collections give us a shock only because it's a medium budget film whereas Thugs of Hindostan is the costliest film of the year with a whopping budget of Rs 300 Crore.

On Wednesday, famous trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the same, "This is a SHOCKER... #ThugsOfHindostan may be the most expensive Hindi film, with Aamir Khan enjoying an enviable following in international markets, but its *lifetime biz* in #USA + #Canada and #Australia will be lower than #BadhaaiHo... Content wins and how! #TOH."
