Bhaijaan Salman wastes no time in signing Katrina Kaif as the female lead of 'Bharat'!


Sooner or later, 'Bharat' filmmakers had to finalize an actress for portraying the female lead opposite superstar Salman Khan in the movie as PeeCee left the project. Where the whole world is talking about PeeCee's reason behind dropping Bollywood movie 'Bharat', fans completely forgot about the spot which was left vacant by the Quantico star.

Well, the good news is that Bhaijaan Salman Khan wasted no time in signing Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif for his upcoming movie which is the Hindi adaptation of Korean movie 'Ode to My Father'. Director Ali Abbas who has previously worked with Salman and Katrina in Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, is more than obliged with the change.

The Bharat director said: “I am extremely excited to work with Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan once again for Bharat. We have had exciting collaborations in the past and it is very interesting to work with the duo once again. It is very delightful to work with the immensely talented actress yet again.”

Earlier director Ali Abbas confirmed that  Peecee is no more a part of the team by saying, “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of Bharat the film and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her. Team Bharat wishes Priyanka Chopra loads of love and happiness for life.”

“Priyanka told us she had to exit due to her engagement, two days ago. It was a little unprofessional of her to do it so suddenly,” said the CEO of Reel Life Productions Pvt Ltd, Nikhil Namit.

The shooting for the movie began this month with the first schedule being that of a pivotal circus sequence. Besides Katrina, 'Bharat' also stars Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi.
