The trailer shows Malek playing the role of legendary rocker Freddie Mercury of the band 'Queen'. He holds a mike and his enthralling voice wins over the fans of a live show.
According to reports, the movie’s trailer had been screened for the first time at CinemaCon in Las Vegas in the last month.

The film was in the production phase since last 12 years. Originally, actor Sacha Baron Cohen was selected for the role of the legendary singer. However, Cohen suddenly left the assignment due to "creative differences". The project suffered a roadblock due to director Bryan Singer taking a lot of time for “health concerns” and hence he was fired.
The film is going to hit the theatres on 2nd November 2018. The other actors who are playing a pivotal role in the film are - Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee and Lucy Boynton. Hardy will portray the Queen's drummer while Lee is playing the notable guitarist Brian May. Boynton will essay the role of Mary Austin, Mercury's longtime friend.
