Dabangg 2 director Arbaaz Khan admitted that he used to place bets during the Indian Premiere League during which he also lost 2.80 crore INR to a bookie, revealed the police. After questioning Arbaaz the police made another shocking statement that Arbaaz, 50 has been betting since the last six years.

On this whole situation Arbaaz said, "My statement has been recorded. Police asked whatever they needed in this investigation and I answered them. I will continue to cooperate with them." As per the previous reports Arbaaz has allegedly lost 2.80 crore to a bookie named Sonu Jalal. Bollywood actor-filmmaker Arbaaz failed to give the amount to the bookie aka Sonu who threatened the actor.
After a face-to-face meeting of Arbaaz and Sonu Jalan, the police confirmed the statement."We called him. We took his statement. He has cooperated with us," said investigation officer Pradeep Sharma.
Arbaaz Khan is yet to record his statement today in connection with the betting racket.
Sonu Jalan allegedly had a diary with details of clients and bookies. The police say he worked for a kingpin of cricket betting who goes by the name of "Junior Kolkata". Sonu Jalan, according to reports, was first arrested in 2008 for IPL betting.
