On Monday, the first poster of the much-anticipated movie of the year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi biopic was revealed. Only few days ago, it was announced that Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi would be playing the role of this legend and the movie is officially titled as "PM Narendra Modi".
The first poster of the film was unveiled by Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. At the event last night, Vivek said that he really hopes to come out as a better person after they wind up shooting for the film and also that he is a big fan of Modi Ji.
In the poster, Vivek Oberoi can be seen looking very similar to PM Modi with all the prosthetics, make-up, grey hair and beard. He is wearing a yellow kurta in the first poster and in the background one can see there's India's flag present against a backdrop of sunrise.
Devendra Fadmavis shared some pictures on his social media from the poster launch event and said that the “film is set to create history." He also praised PM Modi alot by calling him a "world leader" and "rajyogi".

At the time of the release yesterday, Vivek shared the poster of the movie trice with captions in various languages on his Twitter account. He made this strategic move as the film, PM Narendra Modi will be released in 23 languages across India.
The film is going to be directed by ace-filmmaker Omung Kumar who has previously directed Mary Kom and Sarabjit. Bollywood's famous trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to announce on January 4th that Mr Oberoi will be essaying the prime minister's role. The shoot is set to commence mid-January and other details about the film release still hasn't been confirmed.

Actor Suresh Oberoi, Vivek Oberoi's father, has come on board to co-produce this movie along with Sandeep Singh. Reportedly, the team has been working on the script since last two years and the biopic is going to be shot in Gujarat, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
At the poster laugh, Vivek mentioned, "I am extremely fortunate. Today, I am feeling like I felt 16 years ago, during Company days. I am feeling the same kind of excitement and hunger because this is a role of a lifetime for any actor. I truly believe at the end of the journey, I pray I become better actor and a better human being. Narendra Bhai is one of the tallest leaders in the world and to bring his personal qualities on screen is an incredible challenge and I want all your blessings that we can complete this incredible journey."
He also added, "I believe the film will be inspirational. We always say Modi’s life has been inspirational. He is like a raj-yogi and this film will get that in front of the audience. Vivek, we are very excited. We wish the film releases tomorrow but we know it is going to be a very difficult process and you will have to take it seriously. I have faith and predict that people will be inspired by this film."
The announcement of the film has come after the upcoming controversial Anupam Kher's movie, The Accidental Prime Minister is all set to release this week. Numerous cases have been filed against the movie and it is being believed that the film will be generating a lot of reactions in the upcoming election season.
