Padmaavat star Shahid Kapoor, who is currently caught up with Shree Narayan Singh’s social drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu in Uttrakhand, turns a year older next Sunday (February 25, 2018). The actor has planned a low-key family celebration and will not host a star-studded sun-downer at his sea-facing residence like last year. The actor, who is currently shooting for is upcoming film, is all set to take some time off work to ring in the special day with his family. Yes, you read that right.
Shahid will turn 37 on February 25
According to sources, Shahid is said to celebrate his birthday by attending a satsang in Beas, the river-town near Amritsar. Shahid’s birthday celebrations will not be a star-studded affair but attending the satsang with family (wife Mira Rajput, daughter Misha and parents-in-law, Vikramaditya and Bela).
The satsang is by the Radha Soami sect, the spiritual group who introduced Shahid’s family to Mira’s. A source close to the couple, said, “Shahid and Mira missed Valentine’s Day and the actor wanted to keep up with the annual tradition of celebrating birthdays with satsangs and a visit to Beas.”
Shahid, who will be seen playing a lawyer in his upcoming comedy-drama, will resume shooting a few days after the birthday. Meanwhile, recently when Mira and Misha were spotted at the Mumbai airport, it led to rumors that the actor’s family was joining him on the film set to ring in his birthday but the source has to say otherwise.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu will release on August 31, 2018 co- starring Shraddha Kapoor after 3 years after Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Haider. The film also features Yami Gautam in lead role.
