During a press conference the media labelled this film as a chick flick, then co-producers Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor denied it by saying that movies which have only guys are not branded as men’s films then why is movie called so. Moreover, this was just the tip of the iceberg because the final verdict of CBFC is out which says that 'Veere Di Wedding' has been disapproved for the Pakistani audience. ‘Veere Di Wedding’ has a massive star-cast with Bollywood divas like Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan starring in a story of four girls. Well, the reason behind banning of this film in Pakistan is said to be "vulgar dialogues and obscene scenes".Alright.
Danyal Gilani who is the Chairman of Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) has shared with media through social media that, "Members of the CBFC unanimously decided to not allow the film for public exhibition in the cinemas as its content flouts the Censorship of Film Code 1980."
