Here's why KJo did not cast Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor together in the upcoming project!

Soon after Bollywood director Karan Johar revealed about his upcoming movie, ‘Takht’ by posting the poster of the movie on his social media handle, the internet went crazy and everyone is looking towards further details. However, KJo has only given a slight insight to the movie and provided the names of the final cast of the movie.

Karan Johar’s upcoming movie, Kalank will release on 19th of April in 2019

Ace director Karan Johar's highly inspirational period drama, ‘Takht’ is supposed to be set in the Mughal era (when India was ruled by the Mughals). The producer and director who last directed Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be seen directing a film after more than a two-year-long gap.

However, it seems like Karan Johar is about to make yet-another magnum opus like that of ‘Bahubali'. The movie’s star cast includes Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor playing pivotal characters.

But no one knows that Karan Johar was eager to cast Ranbir Kapoor with Ranveer Singh in his film. Yes, you heard it right; Ranbir and Ranveer were supposed to share screen for KJo’s upcoming ‘Takht’.

When asked about why failed in casting both the actors for Takht, KJo said: “Ranbir has his plate full of Brahmastra which is going to be a three part movie. After that, he has Karan Malhotra’s Shamshera and Luv Ranjan’s next with Ajay Devgn. So he didn’t have dates to a lot for this movie. Hence he had to opt out of Takht, despite loving the script and wanting to do it.”

Soon after Ranbir’s polite denial for working in Takht, the role went straight to Sanju fame actor Vicky Kaushal.  On a related note, Ranbir wil be next seen in Ayan Mukherjee’s Brahmastra along with Alia Bhatt.
