Amsale Aberra was 64 years old.
The Ethiopian designer has crafted wedding gowns for Halle Berry, Heidi Klum, Vivica Fox, Salma Hayek, Gayle King and Bethenny Frankel.
In 1985, Aberra launched her namesake Amsale business. After that, she ventured into a Madison Avenue flagship boutique in 1997. The reason behind her death is uterine cancer.
The 64-year-old chic designer, also created a champagne-coloured wedding gown for fitness and wellness expert Hilaria Baldwin in June 2012 on her marriage to actor Alec Baldwin. Her creations were also used to dress Jessica Alba as a bridesmaid to a close friend's wedding in the year 2013.
Amsale gowns are so popular that they have also been featured on television and silver screen.
