Janhvi Kapoor has already earned a large portion of stardom even before her movie “Dhadak’s” release. Wherever she goes, the audience wants to see her talk, dance, act, groove and much more. As she posted a heart-felt letter on Instagram dedicated to superstar mom Sridevi, the world went ‘aww’ with admiration for her.
Karan Johar interviewed Janhvi Kapoor from Vogue.
Let’s admit it, guys, we are curious to know her thoughts about late mom Sridevi. The fans are also keen to hear some tidbits about her journey with Janhvi Kapoor’s late mother. Treat this news as a gift for you because here are some excerpts from "Dhadak’s” actress about the love shared between revered late mother and young daughter.
Ready to be launched debutante has given her first-ever interview to Vogue. Guess who was the person that interviewed her? The larger-than-life director Karan Johar, the man who is launching the pretty lass.
KJo began the interview by asking her that it was observed that she was connected more with US Weekly rather Filmfare despite being a product of Hindi Film Industry. Did it came from her mother? Janhvi answered, “She never wanted me to be an actress.”
When prodded further, she explained, “She was more relaxed about Khushi getting into films. She thought I was naïve, that I wasn’t thick-skinned enough. She wanted us to live a more relaxed life. She loved what she did but you know it was intense.”
In spite of Sridevi’s not wanting daughter Janhvi to be a part of Bollywood, Karan reminisces that mom left her daughter in US to undertake acting course. Let’s hear what Janhvi has to say about this matter,“Oh yeah. She said, “Phool ko kichad mein chhod kar chali ja rahi hu main!” (“I’m leaving my little flower in the muck”). In the wild, wild west. I think it’s cool to be naïve. It takes a certain amount of courage to not be pessimistic. I’d like to believe there is good in everyone.”
Sridevi’s fans are still in shock over Sridevi’s sudden demise. People are curious to know about the last moments between mom and daughter. What was the last conversation Janhvi had with mom Sridevi?
Janhvi recalls, “Of course. I could always be the baby with her. When I’d wake up, the first thing I’d do was ask for her. I’d need her to put me to sleep sometimes and she literally had to feed me. The day before she left for the wedding (of Janhvi's cousin Mohit Marwah in UAE), I had to shoot, but I couldn’t sleep, so I was like, “I need you to come and put me to sleep.” But she was packing, so by the time she came to me I was half asleep. But I could feel her patting my head.”
Usually people presume the elder sibling being maternal to the younger, but the story is other way round. Jahnvi gushes, “I’ve always been very bad at that. Khushi is very maternal with me. I am a full baby. She takes care of me. Now she comes and puts me to sleep sometimes.” We just wish Sridevi’s soul rest in peace and may Janhvi have a bright future ahead.Follow our Bollywood Magazine For Latest Bollywood News and Gossips.
