Bollywood's finest filmmaker Kabir Khan, is all set to enter the digital world with his first web series titled The Forgotten Army. The series will be based on Subhash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army and will be a recreation of his earlier documentary with the same title, The Forgotten Army.
Kabir is an avid traveller and had started out as a documentary filmmaker.
While talking to the media about his upcoming project, Kabir said, "An international cast will be a part of this series even though it is predominantly in Hindi," the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' director was quoted as saying.
He further added, “The actors will speak in the language they are comfortable with and it will be made on a mega budget, even bigger than my films.”
It was then speculated that actor John Abraham would play the lead role in this web series. The official announcement of the star cast is expected to be made soon.
Yesterday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account, to share the news. He wrote, "Kabir Khan to direct Amazon Original’s digital series, titled #TheForgottenArmy... Created by Kabir Khan Films, the Amazon Original series commenced filming in Mumbai today."
The man behind Bollywood hits like Ek Tha Tiger, Tubelight and Kaabul Express, Kabir Khan, will also be directing Ranveer Singh starrer '83, which is based on the life of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.
