The Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut had a dull 2017 with Rangoon and Simran, but the actress is doing everything she can for a stronger and successful 2018. She is working on her first period drama, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, along with she set to start her next thriller project, for which the actress had approached Salman Khan.
Manikarni: The Queen of Jhansi will be releasing on April 27, 2018
No, it's not to star in the project but for the title of her next film. A report suggested that her next thriller with Shailesh R Singh which is in the pipeline had decided on the title of the film as Mental but unfortunately, the title has been reserved by Salman Khan Films. For which the actress has been advised by the makers to have a talk with Bhaijaan.
A source from the production house revealed, "Kangana and Shaileshji are both keen to title their film Mental. They both think that it goes wonderfully with the story. But when the producers contacted Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), they realised that the copyrights of the name rests with Salman Khan Films (SKF). Salman's team had registered the title a few years back when they were toying with the idea of naming Kabir Khan's then under-production film, Mental. However, they later changed it to Tubelight."
The report also suggests that Salman, who is known for his generosity might just let go of the title for the Queen actress. While the makers of Kangana's film have approached SKF, they want Kangana to separately talk to the Race 3 star. When the tabloid contacted SKF, a source said, "At the moment there's no project that could use the title. unless Bhai has something in mind, he will allow Shaileshji to go ahead with it."
Kangana and Salman share a cordial camaraderie and thus it is very like that her next project might acquire the title from SKF.
Let's wait and watch what happens next.
