Early success draws envy and jokes galore. Don’t believe us? Someone passed snide remarks at Taylor Swift. Who? The celebrated guitarist from Rolling Stones Keith Richards took a dig at Taylor Swift’s success in a latest interview. Unveiling more details below.
Rolling stones and Taylor have performed together in 2013.
Keith Richards, 74, was quite blatant when it came to sharing his views about the ‘Look what you made me do’ star. He said pretty harsh things about her in a latest Wall Street Journal interview. Nobody likes to see a young bird soar like eagles when they grappled over the years to compete with a pack of hawks.
The Rolling Stones guitarist is on the cover of this March Men’s Style issue. Speaking of ‘Reputation’ singer, his comments about Tay Tay were hinting at sarcasm and amusement. He blurted about her success, “Good luck girl — wish her well while it lasts.” He added, “I’ve just been around too long to be picking the bones out of kids. It wouldn’t be fair of me and I’ve always been an opinionated bastard anyway.” Oh, well. We didn’t really expect this coming from the superstar guitarist.
Keith has enjoyed roaring success himself but is Taylor really a short-lived wonder? Her heartfelt numbers have been cherished since she entered the scene and they were extracted from her personal life. Her songs have been chartbusters since then and we don’t see her success being short-lived anytime soon. Now, we know Keith’s a legend and all but is Taylor’s success really limited? She’s been staying at the top of the charts since she came onto the scene, so we have a hard time believing she won’t last!
