Red Chillies Entertainment recently moved to Delhi High Court against the legal notice for an objectionable scene in the movie capable to hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community. Shah Rukh starrer movie Zero is about to release on 21 December, however, the makers are having a tough time against the legal notice sent to them for hurting the religious sentiments of Sikhs.
To combat the struggles, the makers filed caveat against the same on Thursday. Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) says that the makers have allegedly hurt the sentiments of the people.
Shah Rukh can be glimpsed wearing underwear and holding the Gatka Kirpan, a small dagger, which is a symbol of the Sikh religion in the poster and promos of the movie Zero. This becomes the reason for the rage among the community. As per the caveat, the crew of the movie has requested the court not to take any legal action against the movie without any prior information.
Bharatiya Janata Party MLA cum DSGMC General Secretary, Majindar Singh Sirsa asked Aanand L.Rai, the director of the movie, to remove the scene from the movie. He additionally asked the Delhi Police to issue a complaint against the movie and the makers for hurting the viewer sentiments.
On a related note, Aanand L. Rai's Zero has been released today and has been receiving average comments so far. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Zero features Shah Rukh, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal characters.
As of now, nothing has been reported against the movie as of now and the movie has successfully released on the pre-decided date. Let us now see how the movie works at the box office, whether it wins hearts or just falls short of the expectations of the fans?
