The famous director-producer of Indian Cinema, Sajid Khan was forced to step down from the shooting of Housefull 4 as many actresses accused him of harassing them. But this was not the end of his problems as Bipasha Basu too accused him of passing lewd comments on the sets.
Soon after, in a recent interview of Dia Mirza, also states that she was too hurt to see the #MeToo accounts against the filmmaker. “I agree that Sajid was obnoxious, rude and extremely sexist. Even for me, the details of the accounts are beyond shocking. I have personally always have had a radar for such people. I have never invested in a relationship with such people even at my workplace, “said Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein actress.
While the director’s sister Farah Khan and cousin Farhan Akhtar denied the fact that they were not aware of Sajid’s behaviour. On the other hand, the cameo-actor in Heyy Baby said that she was aware of director Sajid’s sexist and rude behaviour.
Miss Asia Pacific said that these incidents showed how deep patriarchy ran in the Indian society and Bollywood. Also, she added that in the coming weeks many more names will tumble out.
Meanwhile, writer Karishma Upadhyay, actors Rachel White and Simran Soni and assistant director Saloni Chopra have also accused Sajid for sexual harassment and ridiculous behaviour. Director Sajid Khan is among many big names to have come out in the on-going campaign including Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Anu Malik, Shyam Kaushal, Nana Patekar among others.
