#MeToo Movement: Mouni Roy slams a twitter user for claiming she was harassed by Reema Kagti


In the wake of #MeToo campaign, 11 women filmmakers, including Zoya Akhtar, Alankrita ShrivastavaMeghna Gulzar ,Gauri Shinde, Kiran Rao, Konkona Sen Sharma, Nandita Das, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti, Ruchi Narain and Shonali Bose, who showed their support and are in complete solidarity with the women who suffered years of suppression by sharing the posts of victims.

But recently, a Twitter user replied to a tweet shared by Konkona Sen accusing filmmaker Reema Kagti for harassing Mouni Roy on the sets of Akshay Kumar starrer, Gold.

Without wasting any time, Gold actress had to jump in between to defend Reema. Naagin actress cleared the air that Reema didn’t harass her at all and lashes out at the Twitter user for defaming Reema.

Mouni tweeted, “I was not harassed on the set of Gold by anyone. Director or otherwise. I wish this maligning would stop as it not only harassing me and Reema Kagti but also taking away from women that have truly been wronged.@konkonas @rachitmehrotra.”

Famous TV show Devo Ke Dev Mahadev actress also pointed out that maligning statements like these is not good for the movement and women who are sharing their horrific experiences.
